Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud has announced that four European Union countries—Italy, Germany, Greece, and Romania—will be welcoming 3,000 workers from Bangladesh. He shared this news following a farewell meeting with EU Ambassador Charles Whiteley at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka on Sunday.
"Based on the skills of these workers, the EU ambassador indicated the potential for additional hiring in the future," Hasan stated to reporters.
The minister also mentioned discussions about maintaining reduced tariffs and other benefits for Bangladeshi products until 2032, following the country`s graduation from LDC status in 2026.
